The motoring adventure of a lifetime, this Croatian driving tour is an incredible way to kickstart or round off the season. At the Adriatic coast, summer starts early and ends late—the temperatures are idyllic, the roads are empty, and the beaches are spacious, spanning as far as the eye can see. All of the key ingredients required for an epic tour of Croatia's azure coast.
A driving tour for serious drivers as well as cultural connoisseurs, this unforgettable motoring adventure includes two nights in Dubrovnik and one night in Hvar, two of Europe's most revered destinations. Day by day
Day 1: Arrival in Ljubljana
Once you're settled, you will have a chance to explore the town and all it has to offer. Your guides will meet you at the hotel at 2pm for a full driving tour briefing followed by a short drive to help you get accustomed to your convertible. In the evening, we will meet for a special welcome dinner - a chance to chat about the exciting adventure that awaits.
Day 2: Ljubljana - Plitvice National Park
Bela Krajina gets its name from its endless droves of birch trees and as such, driving through the region is pure joy. Our drive will end at Plitvice National Park, a natural icon and listed UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. We will spend the afternoon on an 18km adventure across wooden footbridges while taking in the park's 16 lakes, wildlife, and many other stunning natural attractions.
Day 3: Plitvice National Park - Mostar
In the afternoon, we will arrive at 'the city among the vineyards', Mostar. Founded by the Turks in the 15th Century Mostar boasts an ancient stone bridge that is now one of the world's most famously photographed World Heritage-listed sites. In the evening, we will explore the Old Ottoman quarter and meet its many artisanal heroes before sitting down to a delicious feast.
Day 4: Mostar - Dubrovnik
During our journey, the panoramic Bosnian landscape will make for a memorable lunch stop. We will sit together and taste a mix of popular Bosnian dishes before driving onto Dubrovnik. Based in the heart of Southern Dalmatia, Dubrovnik is rife with rich vegetation, stunning lakes, captivating islands, idyllic pebble beaches and crystal clear sea - pure paradise.
Day 5: Rest day in Dubrovnik
If you're enticed by the Adriatic islands, you can enjoy a full-day boat trip to Mljet island, a stunning destination which is home to a Benedictine monastery. Or, if you feel like a drive, Montenegro isn't far, and it makes for a scenic cruise. Whatever you decide to do, you will have a day to remember - enjoy.
Day 6: Dubrovnik - Hvar Island
A short ferry ride will take us to Hvar Island, where we'll drive the most meandering road of the entire trip. Named the "Croatian Medeira", Hvar enjoys more sunshine each year than any other place in Croatia. Green, scenic, lively, hospitable, and boasting plenty of incredible bars and seafood restaurants, Hvar is nothing short of incredible.
Day 7: Hvar Island - Zadar
Next, we will cruise by the stunning islands of Brac and Solta and pass through Split, famous for Diocletian's Palace. Venturing further north, we will stop in the historic towns of Trogir, Primosten or Sibenik. Finally, we will reach Zadar - an ancient city with a rich cultural heritage and little something to offer everyone.
Day 8: Zadar - Ljubljana
The scenery here is awe-inspiring, with the Adriatic Sea on one side and the dramatic Velebit mountain range on the other - a sight that will linger in the memory for years to come. Driving through the pristine forests of Lika, we'll cruise back to Slovenia before reaching Ljubljana in the afternoon. During your last night in Ljubljana, you will have the chance to eat, drink, and reflect on the adventure of a lifetime.
Day 9: Ljubljana, flight home
Depending on the time of your return flight, you might have time to ascend the staircase to Ljubljana Castle's 16th-Century fortification before heading to the airport. The adventure of a lifetime.
