DOLOMITES & SLOVENIA Self-Guided Tour

On this tour you will do a slightly modified Treasures of Slovenia tour with the addition of high passes in the Italian Dolomites.

After a few days of more gentle but still very twisty, scenic roads in Slovenia, you will spend 3 driving days in one of the most popular European driving playgrounds – the Dolomites. On the way back to Ljubljana you will drive through the beautiful Julian Alps of Northwestern Slovenia.

Day 1 Arrival in Ljubljana Pick up the convertible car, discuss the itinerary with an experienced guide.
Day 2 Ljubljana - Jeruzelem Drive through the Alps and stay in a wine growing B&B in Jeruzalem.
Day 3 Jeruzalem - Novo Mesto Drive through the vineyards and pristine forests of Eastern and Southern Slovenia.
Day 4 Novo Mesto - Lipica Visit spectacular Skocjan Caves and drive to Lipica Stud Farm.
Day 5 Lipica - Dolomites From Slovenia drive to the magnificent Italian Dolomites.
Day 6 Rest day in Dolomites Do one or more loops in the Dolomites on what are the best roads in the area.
Day 7 Dolomites - Bovec Through the Dolomites, drive back to Slovenia and into the Julian Alps.
Day 8 Bovec - Ljubljana Drive Vrsic Pass and past Bohinj and Bled lakes back to Ljubljana.
Day 9 Ljubljana, flight home Have one last walk in the Slovenian capital and fly back home.

VIP insurance is available on all our tours and rentals of 7 days or more. Drivers must have at least 2 years of driving experiences and must be at least 25 years old to obtain VIP Insurance.
