Day by day

Day 1: Arrival in Athens

Welcome to Athens — your adventure awaits.

After landing, we'll take you to your hotel in Glyfada on the outskirts of Athens. Once settled in, you can chat to fellow adventurers or indulge in a little sightseeing, Athens-style. We'll meet at 4pm to discuss the adventure ahead before enjoying an evening meal at a classic Greek Tratoria.

Day 2: Athens - Delphi

As we drive away from Athens, we’ll pass lagoon-like bays, harbors, and beaches as we venture closer to Cape Sounion located at the tip of the Attica peninsula.

The historic Temple of Poseidon sits above the beach on a mountain top, its soaring columns basking in the sun, waiting for your arrival. After a little exploration, we'll cruise northwest along the sacred mountainous Helicon range. Passing the pretty village of Arachova, we'll finally arrive in ancient Delphi where we will explore the Temple of Apollo.

Day 3: Delphi - Karpenisi

As one of the world's top 10 must-visit places, Delphi is an ancient sight to behold. While in Delphi, we will explore the Temple of Apollo, Athena's sanctuary, and the Tholos Tomb.

Next, we will cruise more stunning mountainous roads, stopping in Thermopylae to marvel at the statue of Leonidas, Sparta's brave king, before winding up to the picturesque ski resort of Karpenisi.

Day 4: Karpenisi - Meteora

With the mighty Mount Tymfristos towering to the north, our drive will take us through the beautiful valley of the Karpenisiotis River as we navigate a series of meandering roads while stopping to soak in the scenery along the way.

Eventually, we will reach the wild terrain and sandstone peaks of the Meteora — one of Greece's most gargantuan and significant cluster of Eastern Orthodox monasteries. We'll round off the day's adventure by visiting six of the region's surviving monasteries and their 16th-century post-Byzantine frescoes.

Day 5: Meteora - Monodendri

On day five, the Pindus Mountains will serve up plenty of twisties and stunning scenery as we tackle the hilly roads that take us through the UNESCO World Heritage Center of Metsovo — a quaint village of northern Greece most famous for its cheeses and wines.

From here, we'll cruise on to the capital of Epirus, Ioannina, driving around the ever-stunning Lake Pamvotida before heading to the nearby Vikos gorge — the deepest in the world — until we reach Monodendri, our stop for the night.

Day 6: Monodendri - Lefkada Island

On day six, the scenery will change before our eyes as we zig-zag south, trading the mountain village of Monodendri for the peaceful seashores of Lefkada Island.

Once we reach the Ioninan Sea, we ride south along its shore and cross over to Lefkada via an embarkment, that conects the mainland to the island.

Day 7: Rest day on Lefkada Island

All good convertible drivers need a day to rest — and there’s no better place to do so than Lefkada Island.

Soak in this paradise island's sandy beaches and lagoon-like waters, enjoy some watersporting action, sample the local delicacies or take a day trip — the choice is yours. For anyone that does want to drive, there are plenty of traffic-free coastal roads and mountain trails to enjoy. And, relax!

Day 8: Lefkada Island - Olympia

As we get beck to the mainland, we’ll cruise the majestic roads of the Peloponnese peninsula. Skirting round rugged mountain paths and deep caved coves, we’ll soak in many stunning sights while enjoying rest stops in a few charming villages on the way to Olympia.

Known as the site of the ancient Olympic Games, Olympia is one of Greece's historic gems. While in Olympia, we'll explore the iconic Olympic Stadium and the Temple of Hera, home to the classic sculpture of Hermes of Praxiteles.

Day 9: Olympia - Mani

On day nine of our convertible driving adventure, we'll take on the region of Mani, the country's least-trodden and most rugged destination.

Navigating this challenging yet stunning region, we'll hug tight coastal roads overlooking the Mediterranean Sea while cruising past luscious olive and lemon groves. In the evening, we'll tuck into traditional Greek seafood and stay in a traditional stone-built hotel overlooking the spectacular coastline.

Day 10: Mani - Monemvasia

On the tenth day of the tour, we'll journey up the eastern section of the Peloponnese to Monemvasia, a colossal rock connected to the mainland and topped with a fortress that houses a secret stone-build town on its seaward side.

With sensational panoramic views of the sea and boasting a charming town built from local stone, Monemvasia is an incredible place to kick back on the hotel terrace and savour the view with a glass of wine or two.

Day 11: Rest day in Monemvasia

Day 11 is our second day of rest.

This well-earned pitstop in Monemvasia will linger in your memory for years to come. Here, you can wander the labyrinth-like walkways in the heart of the town, explore medieval castle ruins, climb to the top of the summit to experience breath-taking coastal views, enjoy the delights of local taverns or swim in the sea — again, the choice is yours. Oh, and if anyone does feel the need for speed, it's possible to drive south and explore Kythera Island, birthplace of Aphrodite.

Day 12: Monemvasia - Nafplio

Without a doubt, Nafplion is one of the most sensational seaside towns in all of Greece.

Surrounded to the Palamidi Fortress, Nafplion is peppered with neoclassical mansions and clad with the flowers of the Mediterranean. After some exhilarating driving, you can enjoy a spot of unforgettable sightseeing or tuck into a delicious meal at one of the town's lively waterfront restaurants.

Day 13: Nafplio - Athens

On the way back to Athens, we'll drive through the mixed terrain of the Peloponnese, stopping at the World Heritage-listed theatre of Epidaurus and the Sanctuary of Asclepius on the way.

Before returning to the capital, we can also stop at Ancient Mycena before passing over the Canal of Corinth, a unique human-made canal that connects the Aegean Sea with the Gulf of Corinth. Back in Athens, we'll get together for a big farewell feast.

Day 14: Athens, flight home

It’s time to (reluctantly) leave Athens and head home.

If you have time, you can enjoy a little last-minute sightseeing, soaking in The Acropolis, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the National Archeological Museum. On the flight home, you'll have time to reminisce on your epic Greek adventure.
